What is Jamb?
Jambs have been used from different materials such as stone, marble and wood from past to present, and styrofoam is preferred intensively today.
The biggest reason why styrofoam is preferred in insulation and building decorations is its very high price insulation performance, as well as it offers factors such as logistics, statics and ease of application. No matter how large the size of the jamb to be applied on your facade is, it does not affect the statics of the building as it does not impose an additional load on the structure. Therefore, precast equivalent applications provide ease of application without the need for carcass application and add value to your buildings with unlimited historical architectural works.
Where is Jamb Used?
They are the decoration elements we use around the joinery in sections such as jambs, windows and balconies. But in the market, all ornamental elements are also called jambs.
Windows are one of the places where heat loss is most common in buildings. Jamb applications in window centers are beneficial in preventing heat losses.
